I am an experimental soft matter physicist specialised in scattering techniques for the investigation of structural and dynamical properties of soft materials. Since October 2026, I have joined the SoMeX Lab as a postdoc, working with Roberto on the microgravity project NEFCoEG (ESA project on Sedimenting Colloids) funded by FFG.

During my PhD at the Soft Matter Lab in Politecnico di Milano, supervised by Roberto Piazza, I investigated colloidal crystallization induced by thermal gradients using optical microscopy, and microscopic dynamics and microrheology of biologically relevant gels with advanced light scattering methods.

As a postdoc at Laboratoire Charles Coulomb (CNRS, University of Montpellier), with Laurence Ramos and Luca Cipelletti, I designed an experimental platform combining spatially-resolved dynamic light scattering with fluorescence imaging to investigate the enzymatic degradation of biopolymer solutions and gels. During this period, I have also worked in synchrotron X-ray facilities and developed a general interest on colloids diffusion in crowded environments, soft glasses and X-ray induced synthesis of nanoparticles.

In the framework of the NEFCoEG project in the SoMeX lab, I am studying equilibrium and non-equilibrium fluctuations in settling colloidal suspensions under effective gravity fields.
