A Great Success - "Lange Nacht der Forschung" 2026 πŸŽ‰

The Lange Nacht der Forschung (Long Night of Research) is Austria’s largest public event dedicated to science, research, and innovation. Held every two years across the entire country, it offers free access to hundreds of research institutions, universities, and companies, allowing visitors of all ages to explore science firsthand.

This year marked the very first Lange Nacht der Forschung (LNF) hosted at the Faculty of Physics at the University of Vienna. Held from 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm, the event attracted nearly 1,700 visitors and featured a wide range of hands-on workshops for both adults and children, alongside dedicated lab tours offered through prior online registration.

For us at SoMeX, this was our first outreach event as a group. We were delighted to share the fascinating science of soft matter with such a diverse audience, engaging both children and adults through interactive demonstrations.
