We are delighted to welcome Sophie Hermann to our research group at the University of Vienna!

As a theoretical physicist, Sophie brings a new perspective to our soft matter research, drawing on her strong background in statistical mechanics.

Sophie joins us as the recipient of the prestigious E-STEEM Fellowship 2026 awarded to female researchers in STEM and Economics. She previously held a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship, further highlighting her outstanding research experience.

We are excited to see the new ideas and contributions Sophie will bring to our group and look forward to the research ahead.
